How much does the SEMS™ program cost?

There is a $50 fee for the Supplier Assessment and a $75 fee for the Knowledge e-course (Level 1). The fee to access the online planning tutorial and template (Level 2) is $195.

How long does it take to get certified?

You can complete the program in a week if a green program is already in place. You must complete Level 1 and Level 2 to qualify for SEMS™ Certification (Level 3). A self-certification tool will let you know if you are ready for the third-party audit.

What if I skip something?

The idea is to have continuous progress. You won’t be registered in the database if you skip the Assessment. Also, you can’t get credit for Level 2 if you skip Level 1. There’s no shortcut.

Can I work at my own pace?

Absolutely. Both Levels are self-paced and available online, 24/7. As long as you have high-speed internet access and a computer with sound capability, you can work from anywhere in the world.

What is Green Build Boot Camp?

This online basic training is the first level of a sustainability program for janitorial companies, masons, landscapers, painters, small contractors, specialty trade contractors and any construction-related firm that wants to build value and competitive advantage into their company in a cost-effective way. Sponsored by a major construction company to promote inclusion, the three-hour course is web based and includes a “show and tell” virtual tour of a green building. A certificate is awarded upon completion.
